DB 6 (Direct Bonded Copper) is a type of copper used primarily in the production of power modules and electronic components, particularly in the field of power electronics. It is a specialized material where copper is directly bonded to ceramic substrates, typically aluminum oxide (Al2O3) or aluminum nitride (AlN). The resulting composite material combines the high electrical and thermal conductivity of copper with the high-temperature stability and electrical insulation properties of ceramics.
